What does "Patriot" mean?
The definition of a Patriot is a person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its interests with devotion. At the Patriot Service Network, we believe that we are uniquely blessed to live in the United States of America. The Patriot believes the Declaration of Independence is correct in saying: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

How long has the Patriot Service Network been in business?
The Patriot Service Network, Inc. was formed as a corporation on February 13th, 2003.

Why should I choose the Patriot over another contractor?
We believe that we provide excellent customer service not commonly found in the contractor industry. The Patriot has invested heavily into our database and state of the art computer network to provide our customers and staff with the support they need.

The Patriot offers a 12 year workmanship warranty, several years more than most of our competitors. This is just another example of how we try to go the extra mile in providing a great service for our customer.

The Patriot has an excellent record with the BBB. The Patriot has always said that we cannot be perfect, but we can respond in a professional and timely manner to resolve any issues that arise. Please judge us on how we respond to issues.

The Patriot has achieved the "Haag Certified Roof Inspector" distinction. Being Haag Certified helps lend credibility to our findings if we are at odds with another inspector who has reached a different conclusion.

The Patriot pays all of our sub-contractors and suppliers on a timely basis, which allows our strategic partners to perform at an optimum level when providing services for the Patriot customer.

Will making a claim raise my insurance premiums?
If your house has been damaged by a wind and/or hail storm this is considered to be an "act of God." The insurance companies cannot raise your rates due to a claim involving an "act of God." However, the insurance company can raise your insurance premiums if you live in a geographical location that has been struck by a storm, whether you make a claim or not.

Why did a Patriot Sales Representative knock on my door?
Many of our customers have been referred to us through previous customers and insurance agents. However, when a storm has hit a certain area the Patriot Sales Force will knock on doors to offer free inspections and offer assistance through the insurance process.

Why does the Patriot want to be at the adjuster appointment?
The Patriot has built a reputation of experience and professionalism when dealing with your claims adjuster and insurance company. The Patriot Service Network has achieved certification through the Haag Certified Roof Inspection Program. Haag Engineering is considered one of the authorities on hail damage by many in the insurance community. We are simply present to lend a second set of eyes during the property inspection and to make sure your contractor (the Patriot) and your insurance company have an agreement regarding the scope of damage. This agreement will help reduce many headaches thoughout the life cycle of your insurance claim.

Does the Patriot use sub-contractors?
The Patriot Service Network is a General Contractor. While we do employ Job Supervisors and repair staff, the bulk of our work is performed by our sub-contractors under our supervision. All of our sub-contractors have to meet the following stringent standards to uphold our craftmanship warranty as well as our professionalism.

Any sub-contractor that we do work with needs to be either incorporated or an LLC. In protecting ourselves and our customers, we perform our Due Diligence with the following steps:

1. EIN # - Employer Identification Number on a W-9.

2. Certificate of General Liability with at least $1,000,000 with the Patriot listed as "Additionally Insured."

3. Certificate of Workers Comp - a statement of exemption is not good enough, they need to have an actual policy with a policy number mailed to the Patriot from their insurance provider.

4. Copy of Articles of Incorporation.

5. Double check all information with the appropriate Secretary of State.

How long do I have to make an insurance claim on my house?
In most states you have two (2) years to make a claim. However, depending on your policy, some insurance companies may only pay the replacement cost if the policy holder makes the claim within the first year of the loss. Please check your homeowner policy or call your insurance agent to verify coverage.

What does depreciation mean?
The depreciation is the amount of money that is held back on your insurance claim until you make the repairs and provide an invoice to prove that you have actually made the repairs. When the repairs are made the insurance company will release the depreciated funds.
